Enjoy FREE GENERAL ENTRY and rare behind the scenes access to working laboratories and tours of the spectacular Museum collections. From mammals to minerals, birds to butterflies and dinosaurs to DNA – the Museum is home to more than 16 million As Australia’s oldest museum, generations of Sydney families have walked through the Museum’s historic College St entrance – but very few have ventured further to see the Museum in its entirety. Beyond the exhibitions and behind the public galleries visitors know so well, are a team of research scientists using valuable collections to help track our past and plan for our environmental future. Meet the scientists working to save unique species and sustain healthy environments;take a tour through restricted collection areas; and, enjoy an evocative program of talks by Museum experts – all for FREE!
