These are plastic, chalk, gelling agent, pumice, white or blue colour pigments - important ingredient used in making erasers.

  • Bread dough was used as a very early form of eraser
  • The first erasers were made in 1770 and were called “rubbers” because they were made of tree resin.
  • They don't contain “rubber” anymore.
