July 2008 - Build-A-Bear Workshop has teamed up with Nintendo DS to bring the Build-A-Bear concept to life.  Build-A-Bear for Nintendo DS is a new, fun kind of relationship simulation game which takes players through a series of bear building stations to create their very own personalised Virtual Bear.

 

Build A Bear DSSimilar to Build-A-Bear Workshops, players can create a personalised one of kind teddy-bear – a Virtual Bear.  There are a series of interactive bear-making stations to go through, including; ‘Choose Me’ where there are over 8 furry characters to choose from including bears, kittens, monkeys and more.  Stuff Me’ is where the new furry friends come to life with just the right amount of stuffing and insert it with a special heart.  There is also the ‘Stitch Me’ and ‘Fluff Me’ stations followed by ‘Dress Me’ where players can really personalise their animal with over 100 different clothing items and accessories to choose from.

 

But the fun doesn’t stop there, the Bear’s Home is the game’s interface itself, containing 6 different areas, each hosting 2 to 4 unique activities including food preparation, dance education, playground, tooth brushing, shopping and dressing up for a photo session.  Players, using a WiFi connection can also trade clothing, accessory and pictures with friends.  There are four fun mini games integrated into the game which can accommodate both individual and multi players.

 

Build-A-Bear Workshop Nintendo DS game will be exclusively available in July through Build-A-Bear Workshops located in Sydney and Melbourne as well as at www.build-a-bear.com.au with an RRP of $49.95.  It will then be available through major retail outlets.
