LEAP INTO THE YEAR OF THE FROG
2008 is the international Year of the Frog. Amphibians are in crisis and are disappearing across the globe at a rate never seen before. Amphibian Ark (AArk) has undertaken a global campaign to address this conservation challenge and the Australian Reptile Park at Somersby has pledged its support to raise a minimum of $10,000 towards the Australian goal of $400,000 and a global goal of $60 million. During the April school holidays, the Park will host frog conservation workshops and other fundraising activities. All proceeds raised will go to AArk. Frog demonstrations will also be held every day. Don’t miss the chance to participate in this worthwhile cause and to walk with dingoes, gallivant with Hugo the Galapagos Tortoise and wobble with Willy the wombat. Snuggle up for a koala or HUGE python family photo, see alligators lunge for their lunch, enjoy10 exciting daily wildlife shows, handfeed friendly kangaroos and say hi to Elvis, the largest crocodile in NSW. Learn how The Reptile Park is the NSW centre for Tasmanian conservation, leading the way to save these Australian icons. All of this and loads more for the Best Family FUNDAY Out Ever!!!
