Interesting facts about dinosaurs   

Dinosaurs had lived for 180 million years ....from the age of :

• Triassic (approximately 248 to 213 million years ago),

•  Jurassic (approximately 213 to 144 million years ago) and

• Cretaceous (approximately 144 to 65 million years ago).

Some dinosaurs were carnivorous, which means they ate meat.

            The Tyrannosaurus Rex (more popularly known as the T-Rex) had very sharp teeth,

             while the Velociraptor had big claws on its hands and toes.

Some dinosaurs were herbivore , which means they ate plants.

                     The scary looking Triceratops and the Stegosaurus were actually vegie lovers !     

These plant eaters usually had horns, spikes and plates on their backs to protect them.    

            Strange facts The Sauropods (which was the largest dinosaur) were thought to swallow stones to help mash up food in their stomach !!!                      

Birds were thought to be evolved from dinosaurs, however dinosaurs probably could not fly. The Pterosaurs were flying prehistoric reptiles that lived during the dinosaur era.
