If you are looking for a school holiday camp with a difference then you've just found one! Literacy Circle is offering three daytime camps in January that are a really fun way to switch back on the thinking minds of kids after the long Christmas break.  

If you book before 22 December 2007, you can save up to 30% on classes. 

“Reading aloud to the class can be a terrifying experience if you don’t know how to read the words on the page” said Jaki Edwards from Literacy Circle. 

“At Literacy Circle we teach the children the skills to be confident, accurate and fluent readers.  These are the skills that can change a child’s life from the beginning” said Jaki. 

Literacy Circle camps focus on boosting a child’s confidence in reading and creative writing for primary school aged kids, as well as camps for children going to school for the first time. 

The Intensive Reading Camp has proven to be a great confidence builder for the kindy and year 1 students that are struggling with learning to read. 

“We teach each child the skills she/he needs to improve their reading by offering different levels.  The kids learn how they can solve the code of letters on the page and actually read with accuracy.  This is so empowering for kids and they leave so proud of what they have achieved” said Jaki Edwards. 

We also offer an Alphabet Mastery Camp to teach children to recognise the sounds and names of the alphabet.  A great camp for children going to school for the first time in 2008. 

The Creative Writing Camp has proved a great success for older primary school children.  The camp caters for children that need help to structure a story as well as for children that love to write and want to write better. 

All the classes are very small and taught by professionally trained teachers that give the children the individual attention needed to stop struggling and gain confidence.
