Time flies. It is already August. Winter is almost over and Fathers' Day is just around the corner.

Vortex Valve - Activity contributed by CSIRO

You will need:

  • 2 1L soft drink bottles without lids
  • A washer with centre hole diameter of 9mm
  • Electrical or plumbers' tape
  • Food colouring

Kids Zone - Animal Kingdom

   Tiger Shark - also known as Galeocerdo cuvier.

Tiger sharks are large, dangerous predators that have been responsible for many attacks on humans. There is no mistaking a tiger shark. The dark tiger stripes on the back and sides can be seen even on large individuals. They also have a wide head and a huge belly.
