Melbourne Youth Music presents the

Instrumental ENSEMBLE Valued at over $300! The winner can choose to join either a string ensemble, symphonic band or stage band from the junior program OR intermediate program.

Congratualtions: Genevieve T of Melbourne Ends Sunday 21st September 2008 The Melbourne Youth Music 2009 Summer School offers a range of musical activities, classes and performance opportunities for children and young people. The program is presented by Melbourne Youth Music who endeavours to provide young musicians with rich musical experiences and an environment which nurtures young talent and enthusiasm, and encourages an appreciation of musical excellence. The Summer School Main Program is an ensemble based program that includes orchestras, stage bands, symphonic bands, string groups and vocal groups ranging from beginner to advanced levels. Instrumental ensembles receive specialist tutorials for each section in addition to full group rehearsals. The Summer School Prelude Program offers over 70 activities covering a variety of topics including studio recording, jazz improvisation, theory, aural, vocals, beginner keyboard, composition, masterclasses, music theatre and Afro Cuban drumming.
We have assembled a team of over 50 outstanding teachers and conductors from the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, Melbourne University, the Victorian College of the Arts and Box Hill Institute of Technology plus special guests from the United States, New Zealand and over 50 specialist tutors for instrumental ensembles.
