Roar & Snore Overnight adventure - The sleep over of a life time!

A fantastic opportunity for all the family or 'adults only' groups, to experience the fascinating antics of the zoo animals after dark.

This incredible overnight zoo experience begins with a buffet dinner and an opportunity to get up close and personal with some of the zoo's friendliest creatures. Then enjoy a two hour night zoo safari led by a zoo educator. Hike through the zoo after dark and sneak a nocturnal peak at the animals while they relax after their daylight duties.

As a Roar and Snore camper you'll sleep in a two/three-person tent pitched under the stars. You will rise to the warbles, rumbles, squeaks, growls and roars of the animals greeting the day.

Your wildlife adventure continues with behind-the-scenes experiences and a continental breakfast. You are also welcome to spend the next day exploring the zoo during the daylight hours.

The itinery is as follows:

6.30pm - arrive and have refreshments.

7.00pm - meet a creature,

7.15pm - buffet dinner

8.00pm - night walk,

9.45pm - return to Education Centre for tea, coffee and sweet snack (and more animals)

11.00pm - bedtime

6:30am - continental breakfast

7:30am Behind-the-scenes tours x 2

9:00am - Finish (you can spend the day in the Zoo if you wish).

Location

North Shore (Sydney - New South Wales)

Taronga Zoo is based in Mosman Sydney - approximately 15 minutes by ferry from Circular Quay (Ferries depart Circular Quay every quarter past and quarter to the hour). A STA bus meets each Ferry, the first stop being the Zoo's Top Entrance. It will not be possible to enter via the Lower Entrance. However please refer to STA timetables for any possible changes on your date of visit.

Participant Guidelines

Please bring your own sleeping bag, mattress, pillow and toiletries (showers are available). Should you wish to hire these items, a $10 laundry fee applies (N.B. mattresses are the thin yoga/camping type mattresses). Bring wet-weather gear and warm clothing/bedding if you think you will need it.

We provide:

* Tents are 2-3 person tents (you won't have to sleep with anyone you

don't know).

Please note:

* All payments are non-refundable.

* Date changes are not permitted

* 10% discount at Zoo retail outlets is available for Roar and Snore guests the following day. (Discounts apply to full price items only).

* A minimum amount of complimentary drinks are provided to enjoy with

your meal. No additional alcohol may be brought onto the Zoo premises.
