Return Details:
Choose to return to Adelaide by ferry or fly back. The return flight will arrive into Adelaide at 7:05pm and the ferry arrives later in the evening at 10:30pm. The second day itinerary is exactly the same, apart from return options. The safari will conclude upon arrival into Adelaide.

 

Itinerary:
Day 1: Adelaide to Flinders Chase (L, D)

Depart Adelaide at 6.45am from the Franklin Street Bus Terminal onboard your air-conditioned coach bound for Kangaroo Island. Once in Penneshaw your guide welcomes you with an island introduction before your wilderness adventure begins. You'll visit Pennington Bay, and also have the unique opportunity to wander amongst a rare Australian Sea Lion colony at Seal Bay, in their natural habitat. After a picnic lunch at Vivonne Bay, trek the sand dunes of Little Sahara. Next it's Koala spotting, followed by a visit to the magnificent formation of Admirals Arch along with a close encounter with New Zealand Fur Seals. Wander through Remarkable Rocks - an incredible display of millions of years of wind and ocean weathering. Tonight seek out nocturnal wildlife and swap stories under the huge night sky.

Day 2: Flinders Chase to Adelaide (B, L)

It's an early start today to Flinders Chase National Park for a wilderness trek on one of the three bush trails. You will be allow plenty of time to capture on photo the exquisite flora & fauna, taking in the contrasting river and coastal scenery. Head to one of the beautiful secluded beaches of the North Coast of Kangaroo Island for lunch with a view. Western River Cove, Snellings Beach and Stokes Bay are dotted along the island North Coast. Late in the day, there is further opportunity for viewing Kangaroos and Tammar Wallabies as they come out to graze in the open fields. Armed with the best photos of wildlife and scenery imaginable, we head to your point of departure and return to Adelaide.

What To Bring:

Towel, torch (flashlight), batteries, small pillow, water bottle, toiletries, hat, sturdy walking shoes, sun screen, camera and film, warm clothes in winter months, wet weather gear, swim wear, overnight bag. We recommend you bring footwear that is going to be comfortable for walking over rough terrain and rocky ground.

Luggage:

We ask that luggage is kept to a minimum (preferably an overnight bag - 15 kg max). Each passenger is entitled to take one case, the sum of its length, width and depth not to exceed 160 cm (63 inches), weight limit 20 kilos (44 lbs.) plus one cabin bag per person, in which personal items such as cameras, make-up, etc can be carried. Over-limit luggage cannot be carried. Baggage is at owners risk. Most accommodation will offer storage services for additional luggage.

Health, Fitness and Medical:

Some tours operate in remote areas and include some hiking through rugged terrain. Passengers should be of reasonable health and fitness and carry all required medication. Please list any prior medical conditions in the "Special Requirements" box at time of booking.

 

 

Pricing Policy:

  • Maximum of 3 passengers per room. If you are traveling with a party of 4 travelers or more, you must make 2 separate bookings
  • Children aged 6 to 14 years inclusive qualify for child rate sharing a room with 2 adults.
  • Children under the age of 6 are not permitted to travel on tour. All children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
