Leaving Brisbane we head to Tamborine Mountain for an introduction to the rainforest. Our guide will explain about the plants and animals and rainforest creation as we walk to beautiful Curtis Falls. Tamborine is not complete without a stop at Gallery Walk to browse the shops, galleries, winery and cafes in this mountain hamlet. Bring your camera for the lookout stops as Tamborine commands impressive views.

Our official winery stop follows at Canungra Valley Vineyards before climbing again to Lamington National Park and O'Reilly's. This spot is famous for its wild bird feeding and tree top suspension bridges high amongst the lush rainforest canopy.

The trip down is not without a thrill as we descend from the mountains via Famous Duck Creek 4WD track.

We then head to the Lost World Valley and check in to Katandra Mountain Farm House, where we will spend the night. Before dinner we get into farm life with hand feeding the sheep and patting the horses. Relax at the house and enjoy a delicious two course meal before we sit around the camp fire, roast marshmallows and take advantage of the country skies to gaze at the stars.

On the second day the farm experience begins with an optional horse riding adventure. For those not riding it's all about relaxing at the farm.

We head back to Katandra for lunch before heading off via the Hinterland to world famous Surfers Paradise, the heart of Australia's Gold Coast. We stop for 2 hours at Cavill Avenue, the hub of action at Surfers Paradise Beach. Enjoy your free time here to surf, swim, sunbake or stroll the sights and shops of this Australian icon.

Participant Guidelines

Please bring long pants/jeans for horse riding, $40 cash for horse riding, swimming costume/towel, raincoat, good walking shoes, sunscreen, hat, insect repellent and your camera.

Children are welcome but must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. As this is a 4WD adventure tour we are unable to cater for disability access.
