Who is Literacy Circle?
Literacy Circle has a single-minder focus and passion for literacy, predominantly reading and writing for children of all ages and levels. They use a ‘tailored education approach’ whereby they personalise every lesson and the teaching style to suit the specific needs of each child.
They offer both one on one and small class room education that dramatically enhances the learning ability of all of their students.
Literacy Circle’s programs are underpinned by substantial scientific research and over 50 years of classroom experience, and they have helped hundreds of students with their literacy challenges to date.
Literacy Circle has several reading and writing programs available to cater for varying needs:
The Literacy Foundation Program is a pre-reading program for children from four years of age. Focuses on phonology (sounds), phonics, handwriting, vocabulary, speaking and listening.
The Literacy Program builds on the Foundation Program and focuses on the essential skills for reading and spelling mastery. Students learn to use a variety of strategies to read such as blending sounds, learning sight words, improving fluency, speed and comprehension, as well as handwriting.
Learning Barriers Removed helps children with specific learning barriers to overcome them so they can move on to become readers.
Coaching for Success helps students achieve English mastery.
At Literacy Circle we aim to create an environment that makes education fun. The innovative programs at Literacy Circle include many fun activities and creative learning games, using practical teaching aids to promote enjoyment and deep learning. We are so confident of our students’ success that we guarantee it.
Classes are available: in Sydney at Chatswood, Frenchs Forest, Bondi, The Hills, St Ives and Rosehill in Sydney; on the Central Coast at Erina and Charmhaven; and in Newcastle.
