Children learn best through experience, so to swim amongst the Dolphins and Seals of Port Phillip Bay is one of the great experiences of life. To be in their natural environment, watch and hear them. These seals and dolphins are just off the coast not far from Melbourne - so close yet another world.

Whether you choose to swim with the Seals and Dolphins or just observe them from the comfort of the boat, you will never forget this amazing experience.

Our dolphin cruises commence with an introductory on board snorkel demonstration and we then cruise out into the sheltered shallows of Port Phillip Bay. With your new found skills, we head off to Chinaman's Hat. A local spot where the ever curious Australian Fur Seals are waiting to share their water world with you. You will get to swim with the seals for approximately 25 minutes before continuing on your cruise.

From Chinaman's Hat, we cruise over to Popes Eye, (Marine National Park) for a look at the Australasian Gannets and a 30 minute snorkel around Victoria’s oldest marine national park.

From there on, we cruise magnificent Port Phillip Bay in search of the inspiring Bottle Nosed Dolphins, that we affectionately call our friends. When the dolphins are located, it's on with your mask and snorkel and you enter the water. You will be swimming with the dolphins for 4 x 10 minute intervals. This truly is an awesome experience and one you will never forget!

As all our cruises are weather dependent, so please allow for some flexibility due to weather and water conditions. While our guests have been enjoying our 94% success rate of swimming with the dolphins, it must be appreciated that there are no guarantees.

Whether sightseeing or snorkeling, your seal and dolphin encounter will be one your children will remember forever.

PLEASE NOTE: A child is aged from 4 - 15 years and must be accompanied by a paying adult. Cruises operate from September - May ONLY and will not be affected by dredging of the bay.

Guidelines:

All children (4 - 15 years) must be accompanied by a paying adult at all times. You must be able to swim to participate in this experience. For adult's prices see MD418. Before participating you must fill in a medical form and disclose any medical conditions you may have.

Numbers:

The price quoted is for one child aged 4 -15. We take a maximum of 30 people out for this experience and there is never anymore than 10 people in the water at any one time with the dolphins. Adult prices are also available, please refer to product code MD418.

Weather:

All cruises are weather dependent. When reservations are made, please provide us with a mobile contact number that we can contact you on. If cruises are cancelled due to weather, we will contact all you as early as possible and reschedule for a later date.

Session Length:

Cruise operates daily between September - May each year. (The most reliable times for dolphin sightings). Cruises are 3 hours in duration. We recommend that you book at least 1-2 weeks in advance. All passengers embarking on the experience are required to arrive 20 mins prior to the departure time.

Before participating a parent or guardian must fill in a medical form out lining any medical conditions that your child may have.
