Let your child swim beside the biggest fish in the sea; the mighty Whale Shark! Swimming beside these creatures is an awesome experience. Our team of passionate professionals will take you out on the Ningaloo Reef for the EXPERIENCE OF A LIFETIME as you swim with the whale sharks!

Experience swimming with the BIGGEST FISH IN THE SEA; THE WHALE SHARK on the Ningaloo Reef; every year between April – July! The Ningaloo Reef is one of the only places in the world where you can experience this incredible tour!

Your day begins at 7.30am when we pick you up from your accommodation and head towards our departure point. After we have had a safety brief and have been introduced, we move off for some snorkelling and marine interaction.

At 10am a spotter plane begins searching the Ningaloo Reef for the Whale Sharks! When the Whale Sharks are located we take turns (2 x groups of 10) to swim beside the BIGGEST FISH IN THE SEA – the Whale Sharks – this truly is an awesome experience and one you will never forget!

Our tour also includes snorkelling on the Ningaloo Reef and also with other marine life such as Manta Rays, Turtles as well as watching the majestic Humpback Whales at play. (N.B. The various marine life we encounter is subject to the time of the year).

We provide transfers & snorkel equipment, morning tea, buffet lunch, afternoon tea as well as refreshments and snacks throughout the day!

Our tour also includes an independent videogragher who films your experience and creates a momento of your day which is also available to purchase (additional cost payable to the supplier).

The time in the water varies from tour to tour. We can only swim with any one Whale Shark for a maximum of 60 minutes. We generally spend 5 – 10 minutes per swim in the water besides the Whale Shark, then rest for about 5 minutes and then repeat the process.

We enjoy a 94% success rate of swimming with the whale sharks.

Guidelines:

The price quoted is for one child, aged 4 – 14 years. We have designed our boat so that kids can go swimming with the Whale Sharks. All children must be accompanied by a paying adult at all times. For adult prices, please refer to product code NGB581.

Numbers:

The price quoted is for one child, 4-14 years. We take a maximum of 20 people out for this experience and there is never anymore than 10 people in the water at any one time with the Whale Sharks. Adult prices are also available, please refer to product code NGB581.

Weather:

Exmouth does not have a wet season and averages 28 -35 degrees throughout the months of April – July. If the weather conditions are dangerous, the tour may be cancelled and we reschedule your experience for a later date.

Session Length:

We run the tour daily between April – July each year. The most reliable times for Whale Shark sitings are between the middle of April – the middle of June. Please book at least 2 weeks in advance of your preferred date.

Extra Info:

If in the unlikely case that you do not get to swim with a Whale Sharks, we will take you out again for FREE on the next available day to try again (if you are unable to take the repeat tour we will give you an open ticket which is valid for 3 years so you can come back at a later date)!
